VALLEY MOMS BUSINESS
💐 Mom of the Month May 2025

Melissa N. is our Mom of the Month for May!
“Melissa is totally rocking this motherhood thing! She is present and intentional with her twin 2 year old boys. Making their days fun and full and sweet! She is now expecting another set of twins (4 kids under 3 😳) and is graciously caring for her family as she grows two little lives inside! I look up to her as a Mom, and am so thankful for her friendship!“
Congrats, Melissa! And thanks to Mela for sponsoring this month’s winner!

AROUND THE VALLEY
Supporting your local bookstores is easier than ever!

The bibliophile community is thriving in the Valley, and much of that is thanks to our local bookstores! Now, you can support those stores from the comfort of your own home. Next time you order a book online, skip Amazon and head to bookshop.org. Bookshop allows you to order a book through your local shop. Stores earn the full profit from all your purchases (30% of the book’s list price)!
Here are our bookstores on Bookshop:
Fable Books and Blooms (Wenatchee)
Ye Olde Bookshoppe (Wenatchee)
A Book for All Seasons (Leavenworth)
Jerrol’s (Ellensburg)
Pearl Street Books & Gifts (Ellensburg)
Riverwalk Books (Chelan)
FAITH
A note of encouragement for your week
One of my favorite passages in Scripture comes from Numbers. It reads:
The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’
Go with this blessing, and know we’re praying for you and all our awesome Valley Moms!
ONE LAST THING
Please make this recipe

Raise your hand if you have hundreds of recipes saved across multiple social media platforms. Raise your other hand if you’ve actually gotten around to trying one of those recipes and it turns out horribly.
Just me?
Well, whether you’re a recipe hoarder or a cookbook conqueror, I’ve got something for you to try.
It’s fast, easy, and delicious; your whole family will like it, and I promise you can’t screw it up.
🍫 It’s cottage cheese chocolate mouse. Stay with me. Here's what you need:
1 cup cottage cheese
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
Literally blend that together, pour into a glass, and give it an hour in the fridge to let it set. Add/subtract honey/syrup to your liking and top it with whipped cream, berries, nuts, whatever you like.
It’s packed with protein and satisfies a craving. What more could you ask?
Please try it and tell us how much you love it.
