Shop Local, Soak Up Fall & Start the Holiday Magic ✨

Cozy classes, local markets, and winter family fun — here’s what’s happening this week in the Valley!

Happy Monday, Valley Moms!

🧠🥧 Fun Fact: A study found that the smell of cinnamon can boost memory and focus — so go ahead and light that candle or bake that pie; it’s technically brain fuel.

The air’s a little crisper, the coffee’s a little cozier, and our local shops are starting to sparkle with Christmas cheer. This week marks the turning point — where fall fun meets the magic of the holidays.

Whether you’re stocking up on local gifts, jumping into free fitness classes, or planning your family’s winter adventures, there’s something for everyone happening in the Valley right now.

Activity: Grateful Garland 🍁
Cut out paper leaves and write something you’re thankful for on each one. String them together to create a garland across your mantle or dining table. Add to it daily as Thanksgiving approaches — a sweet, visual reminder of everyday blessings.

💡 Faith tie-in: Encourage your kids to thank God for each gift as they hang their leaves.

Our Mom of the Month for October is…Alyssa Z.!

Here’s what one of her dear friends had to say about her:

Alyssa is a gentle, adventure-loving mom. Her son has been to the top of mountains before the age of one that most adults will never see. Alyssa is an incredible and dedicated nurse and still the most present and caring mother to her son. The world is lucky she is raising part of the next generation.”

Congrats, Alyssa! Enjoy a tasty treat from The Mother’s Garden LLC, Beau & Co., The Skin Ritual, and Coffee Caboose!

🛍️ Blog: Shop Local Wenatchee Holiday Guide
There’s something special about buying gifts right here in the Valley. When you shop local, you’re not just checking names off your list — you’re supporting neighbors, cheering on small business owners, and keeping the heart of our community strong.

Every coffee stand, boutique, and bookstore adds to the fabric of this place we call home. Whether you’re shopping downtown, grabbing a gift card from your favorite stylist, or choosing to wait in the checkout line for a quick “hi” instead of self-checkout — it all matters.

Our Shop Local Wenatchee Holiday Guide rounds up the best small shops, services, and local experiences to make gift-giving easy, meaningful, and totally community-driven.

November Bible Verse of the Month

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1

The seasons may shift, but the reason we celebrate stays the same. In every busy to-do list and twinkling light, there’s an invitation to pause — to remember that gratitude grows peace, and peace prepares our hearts for joy.
