Cabin Fever Fixes, Winter Break Fun & Christmas Eve Services 🎄
Winter break ideas, cozy reads, and everything happening Dec 22–28 in the Valley.
Happy Monday, Valley Moms!
🌑 Fun Fact: Did you know the Pacific Northwest gets some of the longest winter nights in the lower 48? Around the winter solstice, we have just over 8.5 hours of daylight—which might explain the extra cozy vibes (and cabin fever) this time of year.
We’ve officially entered that quiet-but-chaotic week between Christmas and New Year’s—the one where routines disappear, kids are bouncing off the walls, and the calendar suddenly feels both empty and overwhelming.
This week’s newsletter is here to help you lean into the gentle side of winter: ideas to fight cabin fever, meaningful ways to spend time together, and a full lineup of local events to get everyone out of the house (or at least give you options).
Whether you’re skating, crafting, attending Christmas Eve service, or simply surviving winter break—grace abounds here. 💛

Crumple up white paper or use soft socks, set a timer, and let kids burn energy without freezing temps. Bonus: great for winter break afternoons.

A wintertime favorite that’s perfect for snuggling up together. Cozy illustrations, gentle humor, and a sweet message about friendship and hospitality.

Our Mom of the Month for December is…Jolene H.!
Here’s what one of her dear friends had to say about her:
“Where to even begin about Jolene. My dear friend is a supportive wife, an intentional mama to her sweet boys, an amazing business owner (Mama Jo), and the most loyal friend. She gives 100% to everything she takes on and always has a listening ear and helping hands ready. It’s been such a gift raising my girls alongside of Jolene raising her boys. Even while she was pregnant herself she was there for me through my difficult pregnancies. She is simply the best and the mom’s version of a “girls’ girl.” You can find a true friend, listener and cheerleader in Jolene. ”
Congrats, Alyssa! Enjoy a tasty treat from The Mother’s Garden LLC, Beau & Co., The Skin Ritual, and Coffee Caboose!
